- Help physics & technology/ engineering teachers engage students in a realistic engineering design experience.
- Help students learn the design process, apply science concepts and math skills, and use real workplace skills to solve a problem (planning, budgeting, teamwork, presentation skills).
- Encourage students' interest in engineering, provide them with a good understanding of real engineering work, and help them see engineering as a profession that benefits society.
