HISTORY

In 2000, UMass Lowell's College of Engineering launched DESIGNCAMP, our flagship summer and engineering program that offers 15 hands-on, project-based workshops each summer to 550 students. In just 8 years, our DESIGNCAMP has hosted 1500 students who have filled 2800 camp seats, and it has inspired the creation of similar programs at Boston University, the University of Bremen in Germany, and possibly, at a college in London this coming year.
